WP1 Development of laboratory scale protocols

Objectives:

• Development of extraction protocols based on environmentally friendly contemporary technologies

• Purification of high added value ingredients  from by-products

• Preparation of semi-synthetic derivatives of natural products by chemical-(bio)- transformations

 

Main activities:

This Work Package comprises of 4 main tasks which includes the

​

• Collection of by-products and waste from herbal processing and essential oil distillation,

• the Development of extraction methodology based on eco-friendly technologies, the

• Purification methodology development for recovery of bioactive ingredients

• Bio- and chemical transformations
